Mackenzie DataStream is a hub for sharing and exploring water data collected in the Mackenzie River Basin in the Northwest Territories and northern BC. Their mission is to promote knowledge sharing and advance collaborative, evidence-based decision-making throughout the Basin.

Indigenous communities and guardians play a critical role in collecting information, with the help of scientists and accredited laboratories. Currently, Mackenzie DataStream contains data collected by 22 communities who monitor 70+ parameters.

The Mackenzie DataStream is committed to principles of: ethically open access; data quality; interoperability, security and sustainability.
