November Event - Communicating with Resource Users - Guardian's Hour with Jimmy Morgan

Guardian's Hour with Jimmy Morgan

How do you communicate with resources users? How do your conversations with service users evolve pre, during, and post harvesting season? What skills have you developed to connect with resource users effectively?

For November’s Guardian's Hour, we will be discussing how Indigenous Guardians communicate with resource users during high-traffic seasons in your territory (such as harvest or hunting season[s]).

Hosted by Gitanyow Lax'yip Guardian and TST facilitator, Jimmy Morgan, Guardian's Hour is a free monthly event exclusively for Indigenous Guardians (the technicians or on-the-land workers who are part of an Indigenous Guardians program) to connect and engage in conversation about their work in the field.

About this event

Date
Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 from 10:00AM - 11:30AM (PST)

Guardian's Hour is a free monthly event exclusively for Indigenous Guardians (the technicians or on-the-land workers who are part of an Indigenous Guardians program) to discuss the unique elements for their work in an inclusive and confidential space. Many of the other events run by the Indigenous Guardians Technical Support Team (the TST) are open to both managers/coordinators of Guardian programs, Guardians themselves, as well as others interested in learning more. However, Guardian's Hour is designed specifically to be a space just for Guardians to connect about their field work and experiences.
